Perhaps Love

Friday, 27 June 2008

No lah, i'm not in love. I will gladly happilly tell all of you if ever i am in love.. *cheeky grins* and then all of you can send me lovely sweet wishes.. haha :)

Perhaps love is the title of this song that is currently playing and everytime i hear this song, i feel like i have the whole world right in my hand, and i will secretly smile to myself, haha..*siow* right? So i'm sharing this with you again so hopefully all of you can be super happy like me all day long..!

This song is the thai cover of a Korean song from the movie 'Princess Hour' and the lyrics of this version is exactly how i'm feeling now. It's a love song, naturally, so... :)

Happy Weekend Folks... It's Friday nite and i have a date with the girls... :)

My Sex and The City

Tuesday, 24 June 2008

Watched Sex and the City. Finally. Well, two weeks back actually. Sent a text to Fen asking her to watch with me but i think she was in SF at that time, so yours truly braced the theather alone. It was rated M18, little Shane can't go with me and i mistakenly told him.. "Mummy is going to watch an adult movie, hence you have to stay home!" Hah, let's hope he didn't repeat the same to anyone.

SATC - Sex. City. Clubs. Friends. New York. Fashion. Manolos. Salads. Friends. Food. Cosmopolitans. Men. Friends. Waxing. Break-ups. Friends. Weddings. Love.... Friends and Forever Friends. Some things will never change.

Photo0678

Watching re-runs of SATC on my other best 'bud' - the Archos 504 have been my nightly ritual for the 30minutes before i doze off to dreamyland these past nights. Having the company of Carrie, mesmerized by the likes of Big and Aidan, laugh with Samantha, giggle with Charlotte and at times, think like Miranda - they are my BFF for now.

I love the dazzling fashion in the movie, the cute guys, the big breakfasts, the hearty lunches and the never ending dinners. Plus, cosmopolitans. But i still prefer my lychee martinis, shaken and not stirred please, with real lychee pulps thank you and if you don't mind, i like to have them with three lychees.

And then it suddenly dawned on me - i'm in great need of a good detox to rid my body of these or else, i risked being detoxed by them!

I want to be like one of these girls. Sans the Fats.

It's Sex and the City, not Fat and the City. On that note, i would like to share with you my latest buy - The Japan Diet, a $5 book on sale i unearthed in Carrefour. In fact, it didn't take me much effort to dig thru anything, the book merely lay lazily on top of everything else, and its pretty cover seems to be calling out to me, beckoning me to get it! I gave in, immediately, all because of "...shortcuts...fresh and easy... anti-ageing...slimming and fills you up! And all for a mere $5? But like all the one-nite-stands in the movie, how long will i play this game?

meeee

My cheeks are growing horribly horizontally :(

Anyway, can't stay long here, it's 1am now but i'm still meeting the girls.

Ta~~

i think i

Saturday, 21 June 2008

If you haven't already notice, my email address is now shanewei@mail.com :) Do update your address book ya.

To all who asked, i don't have the mp3 of the thai song that was playing previously and so won't be able to send it to you. That was from the movie 'Me...Myself' and the movie is dee mak mak kha!! If you are from Singapore, you may be able to get the soundtrack for this movie from Golden Mile although i haven't been there to check it out myself. I believe that place needs no introduction na ;p Just print out the following and show it to any shop that catches your eyes.

Song title: fân feuan ฟั่นเฟือน (Movie: Me...Myself ขอให้รักจงเจริญ)

If they don't have the soundtrack album, they may have some other compilation albums you can choose from. In fact, most of the shops in GM sell compilation albums and they are not expensive.

Good Luck :)

P/s: In case you are keen, the current song that is playing is 'i think i' by Katareeya English.

Maybe, Just Maybe

Monday, 16 June 2008

She fired a few shots at the people around her.

Then ran all the way, towards me.

We sat by the staircase, she, hugging me, crying in my arms.

She hated everyone around her, me especially, i think.

That was seven years ago.

She would have been twelve by now.

Do you understand what this is all about?

No you don't.

Do i want to tell you?

No i don't.

Especially For Alex

Saturday, 7 June 2008

To watch, click on the 'play' button, then 'pause' to let it run for one minute before hitting 'play' again.

This is a silly vid i made about two years back for Alex, our dashing young intern. I was reminded of this when Drake was back two days ago. It gives me the goosepimples watching this but what the heck, enjoy it :)

**Thank You Very Much For Your Kind Generosity**

The Day She Went Away

Friday, 2 May 2008

The day she went away
With tears flooding her face
Packed up all that she had
And left without a trace.

She, not sure what to expect
Not knowing what lies ahead
In her mind, she just wanna escape
From all the lies that had spun into an endless web.

With the growing life in her
And the ever increasing need to protect
From all the cruel facts
That were enveloping the fragile new breath.

A charming angelic face she saw one day
Sense of contentment built up her way
She thought she might try again
For the beautiful angel that clung to her hand.

She went back to live in the new place she called home
Thought of giving her babe a new lease of hope
But his feelings had grown into a cold dome
In the uncertain darkness, she tried to grope.

Alone and despair with the sleeping babe
Eerie quietness turned into a frozen deaf
Else shoutings, the only noise that was made
In the middle of the nite, she left.

Peace and calm was what she felt
For the first time she could actually laugh
Even though the card that fate dealt
Splited her heart in half.

Time went by, she was surviving alright
The little babe was her guiding light
That two years seemed to be the best
The two of them in the cosy small nest.

Somehow he was back in their lives
Going for outings from time to time
She was toying with the idea of staying by his side
As his tone and messages seemed to imply.

At last she gave it a final thought
To give her restless heart a smoother road
And perhaps her babe can have
A daddy to play with like the rest.

She agreed on the terms given
And all the conditions she would willingly take
Just so she could build a haven
And a complete family for her babe.

Tried as hard as she might
Just to give it one last try
But alas, it went down the drain
And her packing up again.

This time was never the same
There was no more tear left in her heart to stain
Although some feelings remain
But no longer would she stay.

She was as much to be blamed
For the thunder and the rain
And now she just hope for the best
For herself, her babe and may God bless.

In a week's time all will be brought to an end
With the judge to give it a final hand
To put the five turbulent years to a rest
Hopefully she will survive any future test.

However, if fate miraculously strike its hand
Transport her back to square one again
She would still choose the same man
And live it differently for Shane.

I wrote this in December 2005 and posted it on Moblog. Didn't know i can be so poetic huh? Never underestimate what a woman can do, especially one that survived the dark moments in her life. Feeling rather nostalgic tonite, so i went browsing back at my old entries, savouring every word, every picture and slowly transporting some of them here. If you been reading my blog since the day i started writing at moblog, sorry for this repetition (and more to come). If you are reading this for the first time, do you feel what i feel then?

Have You Seen A Whale?

Wednesday, 30 April 2008

You might if you have yesterday's Digital Life and read my interview on "Wired Mummy". Wahhhhhhhhh okay, you know why, wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (cried somemore).

Don't get me wrong, i love the article written by Yuen-C. She made me feel wonderful about myself and for once, i think i'm in love with me :) and if i can marry myself, i will promptly do so. But i honestly cannot say the same for the picture. Although everyone in the office assured me (at first) that i 'looked good' but the truth soon came out, one by one. They said the picture didn't do me justice.. Wahhhhhhhhhhhh (Cried even louder, sorry if i soak your sleeve accidentally, but don't worry, my tears are clean and in fact, they are very precious, so keep them safe somewhere and trade them for rice when the supplies go down again). They said i look prettier and of course slimmer in person (i know darlingggsss) but still, the whole Singapore saw that ugly picture...Granted, i'm not your super-slim-girl-next-door and i have horrible pictures taken by Fen and the rest but it's still nicer than the one published na...Wahhhhhhhhhhhh

When PH came for drinks with Champion later that evening, i jokingly asked them both whether can they call a certain Mr P. Daniel to arrange another shoot since they know him so well? PH promised to ask when Mr. Daniel is back from wherever he is, haha! But to be honest, taking such picture is really stressful, i feel like i have a whole load of stones in me (no wonder that added pounds to the pic, haha ;p). Kat texted me, saying i looked fabulous, more than Diana Ser. Oh com'on, i honestly don't think so and i know she was trying to soothe my wound. Kat herself looked gorgeous when she appeared on those high-life magazines and Business Times but me? i looked like a big fat whale trying to sit still, with wobbly fat fingers holding an ultra slim phone. What a perfect combination! Have you seen the 200 pound beauty korean movie? Yah, something like that. I cringe at the sight of that picture and if i have a way, i would have bought up all the papers that day! Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

Aud said it was the lens the photographer used, Chris and many others said it was the wrong angle taken from below, Lynn said it was because i was seated. But the same lens must have been used for the other two celebrities as well and they definitely must have many shots taken from different angles too. Anyway... Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..

Okay now, i'm tired from crying too much ;p. Have a good Labour Holiday tomorrow. Go have fun, eat and make merry. As for me, i shall stay home with my wild-rocket salads and plain water.

And btw, i leave you a much 'accurate' picture lest your mind kept wandering to that whale.. haha :)

Becks Leaving Do And . . .

Tuesday, 22 April 2008

Alright, i'm going to post some pics from Becks leaving party here, all carefully selected, naturally the naughty ones won't be shown here and unless you are in my facebook, you won't be seeing them anywhere else :)

We were naughty, to be honest. We cross-dressed him and made him walked out of the office building in a lovely pink tube dress (actually it was a skirt, we just pulled it all the way up to look like a tube dress), carefully chosen by Aud, complete with pink wig, courtesy of darling Ivy, and a lovely necklace from Mommy Al. And Becks, being the good fun sport he was, allowed all these to happen. Well, he didn't actually know, coz Aud had blind-folded him before 'changing' him. But he was game enough to let us do what ever we wanted that evening.

So if you happen to be in Shenton Way at about 7.20pm on April 8, you might have caught a glimpse of a lovely tall pink maiden, head covered in a kimage paper bag - yes, that was Becks!! Haha..!

I had it all planned well, conspiring with his two other flatmates, and the party was held in Becks' own apartment, a very hot, spacious penthouse on top of an office building at the end of Shenton Way. It was super huge, with a super big garden plus a lovely view of the City and part of the World Trade Center. No wonder girls are flocking to his pad every now and then ;p

Becks didn't know where he was taken to (although i half suspected that Joggy might have told him), but he was surprised to find himself in his own apartment after we took the blind fold off. Even if he knew way ahead where the party would be, he was an excellent actor not to have let it showed.

Although Becks was very adventurous with food, there were a few he swore off like - pig's brain soup, pizza with lotsa pineapples (he insisted that was not the way to eat pizza with) and bittergourd. Therefore, coupled with some other food, we had our own little fear factor. Dear Becks took all these in a gulp but had to wash it down later with some strong gin to kill the taste!

I won't forget that nite, a nite of fun, laughter and of course, some tears. No doubt he won't be in the same time zone as i am, but i'm sure he will be constantly terrorizing me in some ways and being in the same firm makes it easier for him to do so.

Anyway here're the pics, enjoy and hopefully, you won't ask me any question :)

"The Ultimate Bachelor Pad in Singapore"

Don't you think he looks kinda cute here??
(Becks's gonna roast me alive if he knows i posted his pics here.. don't tell him ok)

And today is my birthday :) and as usual, x-man is the first to send me birthday greeting. In fact, for no reason, i dreamt of him on Sunday nite. Well, i actually dreamt i kissed him without brushing my teeth (it was morning in my dream). When i woke up, i thought to myself, ermmm, i wasn't sure which was gross, kissing someone without brushing teeth or kissing him?? Haha... anyway, he's not really that bad lah, if he's a changed man, i don't mind kissing him, with or without brushing teeth!! And last nite, i dreamt of him again, no, no kissing this time, but just some cuddling.. Goodness, what was wrong with me??

Anyway, thank you to those who emailed me, sent me sweet sms, leaving me birthday greetings on my facebook and MySpace. I always feel extra special on my birthday. Champion gave me S$150 to buy snacks for tea for my bday plus gave me two bottles of his wines to share with the rest in the office. What more can i expect from a boss?? Such kind soul, ok lah, i'll be his maid my next life.

"Happy Birthday To Me"

I haven't drink them yet.. maybe i can resell it back to Champ.. :)

PS: If you leave unkind comments here on Becks, i'm gonna delete them and i promise i won't talk to you for life!
