Strange People

(An old entry wrote in 2010)

After going to the gym for quite some time now (not religiously tho) there's one thing that really really bothers me.

Semi-naked girls.

That's right, girls wearing very little, some just in bras, some in undies, and some perfectly comfortable not wearing anything! You see them walking here and there, on the phone, drying their hair, applying makeup, changing out of their work clothes/sweaty workout clothes in the common changing area. It seems to me they are so used to being in a state of déshabillé in a roomful of strangers! Like a parade of flesh and each time i go there, i pray hard that i don't see some exotic boobs or disheveled cove. I just don't know where to look! I mean, it's rude to stare right??

No doubt we are in the twenty-first century and being naked in a private communal area may no longer seemed shocking to some but from where i come from, it is not something you would want to see very often. Being in Singapore for the last 15 years hadn't changed the way i feel about certain things too.

This afternoon, i saw this girl drawing her eyeliner in the most outrageous bright pink undie. So bright that i need a shade in case i'm blinded by it. Outrageous because there was an oval shape big gap at the back, from the waistband downwards to the top of her bum crack! (i leave you to your wildest imagination on how it might look like). Initially, i thought her undie was torn without her knowing, either that or she had a really rough nite. Then i realised it must be part of the design (or maybe the maker of this label didn't have enough fabric and he/she must have felt this is a clever way out of it!). Since it's not polite to stare at someone's bum, I had to look away quickly. So girls, if you want something like that, try google, suggested keywords: undies-hole-at-back-see-bum-crack; and who knows you might get it in time for Halloween!

Okay, maybe i'm too fashion-backward, but seriously, i don't know how to appreciate such a 'trendy' piece.

But despite people walking around in their birthday suits (or nearly), what upset me most is nobody wants to use the shower cubicle with a faulty door lock!!

What's wrong with them??

Revival

I am starting to write again. To put my world, my thoughts, my reflections into words.

Someday i might look back at them with fond memories or maybe just to have a good laugh at the crap i wrote!

Cupcakes

I'm so into pretty pretty cupcakes that I'm making it the Wallpaper of the Moment. They are too pretty to eat.

505 - U.B.A.H !!!

Thursday, 2 May 2013

Twenty years ago, I walked for 5 minutes from my Malaysia home to a shopping mall two streets away. Day or night, I took the same route to and back. Now, either my dad or my aunt would drive me. Even if it's broad daylight. Even taking a cab is no longer consider that safe anymore.

Crime rates are atrociously and disgustingly high in Malaysia. It seems like robbery is the only way of life for some people who totally has no respect for human lives, no respect for the law and there's only one reason why they behave so - the incompetent law enforcers.

I worry for my family and friends back home, I want a safer country for them, I want a better future for them, for their children and their children's children. I want a fair education system which is not based on race or religion.

I want a corruption free Malaysia for all Malaysians. I want a cohesive community and society for all Malaysians. The Chinese and Indians are NOT pendatang haram, so stop calling us that!

Ini Kalilah - UBAH!!!

Wallpaper

I love my Samsung Note 2 and how I can customize almost everything.  Android is sehr cool!

Do I miss iPhone? Ermmm...  not really but if ever Apple decide to release iPhone with 5.5" screen size, I might consider using it again.

So yeah, screen size matters most to me now as Presbyopia slowly sets in - the natural aging process! I have learnt to come to terms with it even though I like to pretend I'm still 25 sometimes :)

And here is the Wallpaper of the Moment on the homescreen! See how there's no icon there for you to get past it? Well, there is, of course, I have the App Drawer icon somewhere on the homescreen, together with the Phone, Facebook, Whatsapp and Messaging icons. But they are not screaming for attention and are quietly embedded somewhere on the homescreen. Not telling :)

Weibo

Tuesday, 16 August 2011

I created a Weibo account on Saturday to stay in touch with my Chinese friends but seems like Weibo didn't like me much.

After I had successfully created my account that day, yesterday it asked to verify the account by entering my mobile phone. Tried with my Singapore mobile, no go and i couldn't access my account now.

I then created a second account yesterday and yet again, it's asking me to verify the account by entering my mobile phone.

Could it be I'm also using it on my iPhone?

Bad Weibo :(

Blogger+

Monday, 15 August 2011

Can't get to sleep, testing this app on my iPhone.

Bloggerplus.

Seems quite easy to use and I can attach picture taken from the phone in its original resolution. Don't like the resolution of pics uploaded to Blogger so I always upload my pics to my flickr account first and embed them later in my post. This app allows me to rotate and change the resolution size in one easy step if the pic is too big.

See how the resolution for this app goes. Picture taken during one of the dinners in Tokyo.
