Wallpaper

I love my Samsung Note 2 and how I can customize almost everything.  Android is sehr cool!

Do I miss iPhone? Ermmm...  not really but if ever Apple decide to release iPhone with 5.5" screen size, I might consider using it again.

So yeah, screen size matters most to me now as Presbyopia slowly sets in - the natural aging process! I have learnt to come to terms with it even though I like to pretend I'm still 25 sometimes :)

And here is the Wallpaper of the Moment on the homescreen! See how there's no icon there for you to get past it? Well, there is, of course, I have the App Drawer icon somewhere on the homescreen, together with the Phone, Facebook, Whatsapp and Messaging icons. But they are not screaming for attention and are quietly embedded somewhere on the homescreen. Not telling :)

Weibo

Tuesday, 16 August 2011

I created a Weibo account on Saturday to stay in touch with my Chinese friends but seems like Weibo didn't like me much.

After I had successfully created my account that day, yesterday it asked to verify the account by entering my mobile phone. Tried with my Singapore mobile, no go and i couldn't access my account now.

I then created a second account yesterday and yet again, it's asking me to verify the account by entering my mobile phone.

Could it be I'm also using it on my iPhone?

Bad Weibo :(

Blogger+

Can't get to sleep, testing this app on my iPhone.

Bloggerplus.

Seems quite easy to use and I can attach picture taken from the phone in its original resolution. Don't like the resolution of pics uploaded to Blogger so I always upload my pics to my flickr account first and embed them later in my post. This app allows me to rotate and change the resolution size in one easy step if the pic is too big.

See how the resolution for this app goes. Picture taken during one of the dinners in Tokyo.

Hello Back!

So, i have not really posted anything for many months now. Being tired and busy with work.

Here're a few pictures of me and the niece in Tokyo last month and more to come :)

Hope Is A Dream That Never Sleeps

That's the title of my song of the moment! It's from the Korean drama - Baker Boy Kim Tak Gu.

Been looking around for a small office space for expansion last week. I must have been to at least 15 units around Shenton Way, took numerous photos which confused me thoroughly as they all look almost identical - vacant, bare, pillars...

However, in the end, Champ decided we should just look at one big unit to house everyone together and not waste time looking for smaller ones. Champ fell in love with a unit on the top floor of a prominent building in Shenton Way but it's under offer at the moment, and we'll only know if we can put in a letter of intent by end of this week. The layout is very easy to configure as compared to our current unit and I'm excited about this potential project. The last time i did a move was in 2003 - we moved from Six Battery Road to where we are now. But there's a problem though - we need to break the current lease and if we can't find new tenant(s) for the current space, we risk running into paying rent for two units, that is, if we get the new space. And if we did find new tenant(s) for the current space, we have to pay the agent's commission which is equavalent to a month rent at the new negotiated rate and it's not a small sum :(

Gosh, i had a mad impulse then to resign and go be a commercial property agent!!

Exciting times ahead, with a new application currently deploying firmwide at the moment and a potential move, i'm all stretched out!

Btw i found a new way to stay fit and trim - the Kinect Xbox 360 - Your Shape: Fitness Evolved.

I now have a personal trainer anytime i want and so far, i have burnt 86 cal! Okay, not much, but that's a small step to a trimmer me!!

Bye-bye Fitness First!!

Coming Back

Monday, 20 December 2010

The more i listen to this song, the more the memories are flowing back. Bit by bit, little by little, memories of happier times with him start to fill up my head. Maybe it's because i'm alone and have nothing better to do which somehow gave him a chance to quietly creep into my mind. Of the first time he brought cut fruits to my first workplace, the first bouquet of flowers he sent me on my birthday which i thanked my boss stupidly instead of him, the first movie we watched at Capitol and many many more. But strangely, those are memories of the first few years. The memories of the rest of my years with him are begining to get hazy.

Maybe i'm getting old. There's a saying, the older one gets, the more they will reminisce the long forgotten happier times.

Or maybe it's the effect of listening to this song on loop mode.

December

Saturday, 18 December 2010

After 12 months of waiting, December is here again, popping its head through the gloomy and rainy weather. I'm here alone, at home, updating this blog and listening to this Thai song currently playing. Turn up the volume. You will like this song too.

Dad was discharged yesterday. He was admitted for losing too much blood. He came back from a 3-week driving trip from China. It was his dream of doing a driving trip and he fulfilled that. He and his friends shipped their cars to Shenzhen, China and from there, they drove to various parts of China before driving back to JB (Malaysia) via Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. The journey was too tough for a 69 year old man. All he said to us was he wasn't feeling well when we called him on his birthday on December 6th. Little did we know Dad was very ill and at one stage, was hospitalised in China!!!

He finally came back last Sunday and we heard some not-so-good news from his friends. Dad stubbornly refused to see a doctor despite being weak and pale but finally gave in to us on Wednesday. Doc told us Dad needed to be warded immediately as he was losing too much blood, almost 60% of a normal healthy adult male. He needed a blood transfusion. Dad finally admitted to us he has on-off rectal bleeding for the past 2 years and while he was in China, the bleeding recurred. Doc sent him for a colonoscopy on Thursday and found a large polyp in his colon. It's now removed and being sent for test.

With God's blessing, Dad is as-far-as-we-can-tell fine now and guess what, he's now on a holiday trip with my eldest sis and her family. Dad is as stubborn as all of his children combined and he wanted to go. Since he is now somewhat ok and with his doctor's approval, we allowed him to travel again.

I thank God for His blessing and mercy on my Dad. Wihtout God's grace, i don't know how Dad can come back home to us at all. I'm sure everything will be alright. Dad kept telling us he has unfinished God's work to do and hence, he needed to live on. He's a very positive man. All i can do is to constantly pray for his health and well-being.

There're so much things i haven't done for my Dad and i want more time for him.
